Implementation of Soil Laboratories to Virtual Environment

  • Current study is focusing on visualization and application of Atterberg Limit Test in a virtual soil laboratory environment with MATLAB. It consist of a graphical user interface (GUI) which allow students to gain hands-on experience on the test
  • The virtual laboratory which is designed by considering some particular ASTM specifications, enables students to conduct test by experiencing each step of it.
  • The study is inspired by COVID-19 pandemic to lead students to reach soil laboratories and conduct the tests during distance education.
