Applied Innovative and Interdisciplinary Research Lab (AI2LAB) was founded by Dr. Onur Pekcan on March 12, 2012 in Middle East Technical University. In AI2LAB, Dr. Pekcan and his students work on developing innovative approaches to applied Civil Engineering problems using interdisciplinary vision and knowledge in order to design and maintain sustainable and intelligent infrastructures. Our focus lies within the broad range of subjects chosen from the sub-fields of Civil Engineering mainly focusing on Geotechnical, Transportation, Structural and Ocean Engineering. In addition, we exceedingly use the approaches developed in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering such as Digital Image Processing, Machine Learning, Web Based Software Development, and Engineering Optimization.
